Balancing Working Relationship with the Local School District Resources

A sensitive issue that more GEAR UP and TRIO Programs are encountering are attempts by the local school district to shift some of their work responsibilities to the program staff. In this era of eroding public funding, school districts are tempted to shift some responsivities. This web page contains examples of how other grant programs have continued their working relationships but were able to only engage in their activities mandated by the federal grant.
